Troy is an active member of the WLToys community and always willing to provide help and advice to new members. First, a little about Troy:
Where are you from?
Anchorage, Alaska, USA
Favorite place to race/brash/drive?
Small track in a park by my house
Preferred places/websites to source parts?
Amazon, Aliexpress. I am also a new LC Racing vendor, so feel free to DM me!
Favorite mod/upgrade on the car?
Hands down, the LC Racing sway bar kit is a game changer
Future plans for the car?
Re-doing the paint scheme to be even better
Troy's 124019 has been built to be the ultimate everyday basher with an instantly recognizeable aesthetic. The chosen parts have all been upgraded to be reliable and tough. Sun or snow (sometimes more snow in Alaska), Troy rips this car all year round and it continues to take a thrashing.

I am honored! What a fantastic write-up, as usual. "Venom" is a constant work in progress. I have other 144001s and 124009s I tinker with, and now have some LC Racing RTRs I am playing with and modifying.

Great write up and thanks for providing links to the items (for a newbie like me...just perfect). I know you didnt upgrade for speed runs but was 43 mph the max you got from this setup? Or was it a reference/example?

Hi There. 43mph would be typical for a setup like this on 2s. It's actually very fast for a car like this offroad but as Troy mentioned he runs on 3s as well where I'm guessing it would get around 60 mph.

Heyo. This was on 3s on ice (slight snow)! I was going for an offroad speed record group, and then found out snow didn't count. Grass only.

Thanks Troy, I shouldn't have assumed. Appreciate the clarification!
